Sbbslist v1.00
──────────────
Nodelist to SuperBBS v1.10 compatible bbslist remapper.
(c) 1991, andreas levenitschnig, all rights reserved.
Sbbslist is just a quick'n dirty program to convert your
nodelist segment into a SuperBBS mailboxlist, using the
structures for version 1.10 and optinal output to ASCII
and ANSI files. Sbbslist requires to have all SuperBBS
configurationfiles (included BBSLIST.BBS) reachable via
environment SBBS or at least in the current directory
from which you're executing it.
The program does nothing more than searching the nodelist
for the Host-entry you've define in the configfile and
browsing out all systems till a semi-colon (;) is found.
All kind of nonreachable or administrative nodes like
Private one, those who are Down, Hold or Hubs are not getting
listed, you can easily guess why. You can alter these
settings. Refer to the sample configuration please.
These nodes are than getting translated to SuperBBS'
bbslistfile. Flags like V32, V32b, V42b, HST, V32 are
getting stored as comments. If a system is not listed in
nodelist as 'continous mail' (24 hours reachable) a warning
will be placed in BBSLIST.BBS that the system is
not online all the day per default. Change any of these
strings in the configurationfile. Duplicate systems are not
getting listed; systems are getting compared by phonenumbers.
Problems?
─────────
I've "developed" the piece on a ramdisk cause i'm smoking
more heavy the more time the harddisks need to work ... so,
I had no problems with speed. Anyway it looks rather fast to
me, comparing to other results I've noticed in software
written by me, accessing the nodelist. If you have good
suggestions how to improve speed or add new features to
the biest, just write me!
Hint: If you're running a multitasker or kinda network,
don't try to access nodelistfiles of FrontDoor while it's
up on another task or workstation. From time to time it
opens (really funny) the nodelist without doing anything
with it. Just to look if it's available longer. Well, to
avoid sharing violation, i strongly suggest to run this
program in a shell of Frodo or something like this.
Tests
─────
I've tested Sbbslist on different machines, via Novell LAN,
Artisoft's LANtastic and other conditions i'dn't even
wish the hatest of my enemies to use. It worked all the
time (em, at least). Last minute update: Sbbslist was
tested also at SuperBBS HQ without troubles ;-)
The formal part
───────────────
You can use the program on your own risk, following the
rules for using SuperBBS, since i wrote =this= program only
in a mixture of fun and the wish to support the SuperBBS
team. Keep up the good work, guys!
The files will be sent via SDS, thanks to those dudes
carrying the stuff! If you want to send me your suggestions,
please don't hesitate doing so:

The BBS (running SuperBBS, what else ;-)) is opened 24 hours
a day, offering about eight different languages. The number
and name:
Hex Hotline * (43-1) 24 30 615
Thanks for your support and to Aki Antman for his tests
on Sbbslist. Thanks also to all who are working on FidoNet,
it's indeed a great thing.
Please excuse mistakes in this "manual" since I don't really
like writing those. If there are problems of any kind, please
don't hesitate writing me.
